Council stifling debate on trams, say residents

A group of Edinburgh residents opposed to the city’s tram scheme have claimed that councillors are stifling debate on the impact of increasing traffic levels on side streets.

Moray Feu, a group representing households in the New Town, warned that vehicle pollution on minor roads that adjoin the 11.5-mile route from Edinburgh Airport through the city centre to Leith would be increased as lorries and cars were forced off the main roads.
