Ferry service under fire for performance

A CONTROVERSIAL new ferry service has not managed to fulfil a complete schedule in any week since it started five months ago and cannot provide a safe service unless the weather is “comparatively calm”, it has been claimed.

Residents in Dunoon are holding a public meeting later this month to register their concerns about the new passenger-only service which was introduced at the end of June replacing CalMac’s service to Gourock town pier.
