Only 10 of the 38 Class 380 electric trains due for use on routes connecting Ayrshire, Inverclyde and Renfrewshire to Glasgow have so far entered service, with ScotRail refusing to accept any more until the problems are sorted out.

Fresh technical problems to a fleet of of new ScotRail trains have delayed the introduction of some rail services by at least six months.
