Scots petrol prices ‘to hit £6 a gallon’

Drivers face paying £6 for a gallon of petrol at Scottish forecourts by January.

A toxic combination of rising oil costs and increasing Government taxes will result in the average cost of a litre of unleaded petrol in the UK leaping 8% by the beginning of next year -- from 116.0p to as much as 125.9p.
