Commuters face travel disruption after trains between Glasgow and Carlisle cancelled
Train commuters face travel disruptions after services between Glasgow Central and Carlisle were cancelled due to urgent bridge repairs.
Virgin trains said the urgent repair had closed all lines between Glasgow Central and Carlisle.
The disruption is expected to last until midnight tonight.
Commuters are advised to check the status of their train before travelling.
Virgin Trains said it also has no services running between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh.
On its website, Virgin Trains said: "Train services running to and from Glasgow Central and Carlisle stations may be cancelled or terminated at and started back from Carlisle. All stations between Glasgow Central and Carlisle will not be served."
