Services from Euston to the Midlands, the North West and Scotland are facing cancellation and delays of up to an hour after the incident close to the terminus in the capital.

London Midland Trains said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident at #Euston services running to and from this station may be cancelled or delayed."

Virgin Trains said: "Due to a problem currently under investigation between Watford Junction and London Euston all lines are blocked."
