A SHAKE-up of the road system in Edinburgh which aims to give greater priority to pedestrians and cyclists has been passed by councillors.

The changes, which could take three years to take effect, include a review of a number of one-way systems in the west end and city centre, cutting traffic speeds and installing new cycle and pedestrian routes.
