The crossing, which carries 30,000 vehicles a day along the A9 and is the main access route into the city from the north, will be reduced to one lane in either direction between February and June in 2013 and for the same period in 2014.

MOTORISTS travelling into Inverness will face more than a year of traffic chaos from next Februrary as an £18 million programme to resurface the Kessock Bridge gets underway.
