Rail ban on booze hailed a success

A LATE-night alcohol ban on trains has been hailed a success by rail chiefs.

ScotRail said passengers had generally adapted well to the introduction of the booze ban between 9pm and 10am on all services except the Caledonian Sleeper.

This was shown, they say, by the low number of arrests. Only five people have been reported to the procurator fiscal since it was introduced three months ago.
