TWO men were arrested after drugs with a street value of almost £200,000 were recovered during a police raid on a house in Glasgow.

At around 4.50pm yesterday, officers acting under a warrant, searched a house in Kirkland Street in the city's Maryhill area.

During the search they discovered the drugs, believed to be cannabis worth about £192,000.

Two men, aged 33 and 34, were arrested as part of the operation. They were detained in police custody in connection with the recovery of the drugs.

A full report will be sent to the procurator-fiscal.

The two men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

Police officers were outside the property last night.
