Backlash against anti-Islam film gains strength

VIOLENT reactions to an anti-Muslim film that led to the killing of the US ambassador to Libya continued to spread last night with embassies in Iran, Yemen and Egypt the latest to come under attack.

US warships have now headed to Libya following the murder of Christopher Steven and three other Americans in response to the film Innocence of Muslims, excerpts of which have been shown on the internet, and which is being viewed as blasphemous by detractors.
