Basebrawl

AN international baseball tournament turned nasty when a full-scale brawl broke out, with seven players ejected and fans throwing bottles from the stands.

Violence erupted during the ninth inning of the World Baseball Classic (WBC) showdown in Phoenix, Arizona, between Mexico and Canada, after Mexican pitcher Arnold Leon was accused of deliberately aiming at the ribs of Canada's Rene Tosoni. Canadian pitching coach Denis Boucher was hit in the face by a full water bottle thrown from the crowd.
