Blaze factory had no safety licence

DHAKA: The Bangladeshi factory producing clothes for Wal-Mart before a fire in November that killed 112 workers was operating without a safety licence, an emergency services official said.

An official at Tuba Group, which owns the clothes manufacturer, declined to comment on the status of the licence at the time of the fire.
