BRASILIA: Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is expected to miss a regional trade summit in Brazil after going to Cuba for cancer-related treatment.
He had been enthusiastic about attending the Mercosur bloc's meeting to celebrate Venezuela's entry, so his absence will fuel fears about his health. The re-elected president has not been seen in public for three weeks.
