Crunch time for record-breakers

Volunteers threw in vegetables in a bid to make the world's biggest salad in Pantelimon near Bucharest in Romania yesterday.

The salad was being made out of about 20 tonnes of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots, olives, sweet peppers, and lettuce, with added olive oil and salt, in a bid to claim a Guinness World Record.
