Election call after Serb vote boycott


Kosovo's prime minister, Hashim Thaci, above, proposed dissolving parliament yesterday and holding early elections on June 8 after Serb minority MPs stopped a vote on creating a national army by failing to show up. There are fears over the creation of a Kosovan army because of the message it might send to Serbia and the 100,000 ethnic Serbs in Kosovo.
