A MAN who jumped in front of his girlfriend and saved her life during the Colorado cinema shooting has been praised for his sacrifice, while an aspiring sports journalist was remembered for her boundless energy.
Mourners packed a church in the western Ohio town where 27-year-old Matt McQuinn was from, on the same morning that others in San Antonio remembered 24-year-old shooting victim Jessica Ghawi.
Samantha Yowler, who was saved by Mr McQuinn, wept as pastors spoke of the senselessness of the Aurora massacre, in which 12 people were killed.
