islamabad: A Christian girl accused of blasphemy over the burning of the Koran has been acquitted by a court in Pakistan, a defence lawyer said.
Abdul Hameed said the order exonerated his client due to a lack of evidence and dismissed the charges. A Muslim cleric was later accused of stashing pages of a Koran in the girl's bag.
