Iraq hit by wave of bombings

BAGHDAD: Iraqi insurgents have unleashed a new wave of bombings, targeting security forces and civilians, killing 12 and wounding dozens more.

Two car bombs exploded in the disputed northern city of Kirkuk yesterday, another hit the Sunni-dominated town of Hawija, and the capital was attacked during rush hour.
