Kerry lined up for Secretary of State

WASHINGTON: President Barack Obama is expected to make 2004 Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, above, his Secretary of State to succeed Hillary Clinton.

Mrs Clinton, the most popular member of Obama's cabinet, will step down in January and is widely expected to seek the Democratic nomination for president in 2016.
