Soldiers dug through tonnes of mud this weekend in the search for victims of a huge landslide.

Using picks and shovels, soldiers and farmers removed earth and rock which had buried houses, looking for bodies in the communities north of Acapulco, where 68 people were reported missing following the landslide.

President Enrique Pena Nieto said the death toll had risen to 101, with 68 missing. He said they have evacuated 58,000 tourists from Acapulco and will continue to fly people out of the resort until today, when they expect its airport to be functioning again.
