Lottery winner faces trial

A MAN who scooped a £100,000 jackpot on a Lottery scratchcard is to stand trial this month accused of dealing heroin just a year later.

John Anderson is alleged to have been concerned in supplying the drug on September 28 last year at his flat in Dundee's Baldovie Terrace.

Anderson bought his winning National Lottery scratchcard from his local shop in Dundee on June 16, 2010.

He is also accused of being in possession of heroin on September 28, and failing to disclose a mobile phone PIN code to police trying to examine his phone on the same date.

Anderson, 53, of Dundee, denies the three charges on summary complaint.
