Polio health staff killed in Nigeria

KANO: Gunmen on motorbikes shot dead nine health workers who were administering polio vaccinations in two attacks in Kano in Nigeria.

No-one claimed responsibility but Islamist militant group Boko Haram, a sect which condemns western medicine, has been blamed for a recent spate of assaults on security forces.
