conakry: The head of Guinea's treasury has been shot dead as she drove home in what colleagues said was an assassination aimed at silencing her for launching an investigation into the disappearance of millions in state funds.
Aissatou Boiro died of internal bleeding. The government issued a statement saying Ms Boiro had been killed by men wearing military uniforms.
