Romney bullish ahead of debate

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said tonight's television presidential debate is not about winning and losing.

Mr Romney arrived in Denver ahead of the on-screen clash with President Barack Obama and told a crowd of thousands at a rally the debates are about "something bigger" than who wins.

The Republican nominee, who is trailing Mr Obama in the polls, stood in front of four enormous banners that spelled out the word "jobs".
