Romney's revival breathes new life into race for the White House

MITT Romney has erased President Barack Obama's once-substantial lead in polls and made the race for the White House highly competitive once more.

A Reuters/Ipsos daily tracking poll yesterday found Mr Obama and Mr Romney tied among likely voters at 45% each.
