Kathmandu: Centenarian Sanu Maya Maharjan was a guest of honour at a celebration to mark the International Day of Older Persons in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Adorned with a garland and a red tika mark on her forehead, the 104-year-old was one of 12 women over the age of 100 who were honoured. They all received gift tokens worth £120.
