Sarajevo has reopened its National Library 22 years after the city landmark was destroyed during the Bosnian war along with almost two million books.

City authorities plan to have the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra perform inside the building on June 28, which marks 100 years since Crown Prince Franz Ferdinand was shot dead outside the building, sparking the First World War.

It took architects 18 years to find documents on the building's 19th-century construction and rebuild it as it was before Serb shelling destroyed it in 1992.
