Vosges:
Sheep ran in front of police officers during a protest by shepherds at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, yesterday. Shepherds of the Vosges protested against wolves that have been preying on their sheep. According to angry shepherds, wolves roaming the Vosges mountains on the Alsace-Lorraine border have been responsible for some 100 attacks on sheep this year. Shepherds are demanding a cull. Some experts predict the wolves could reach forests near Paris in a decade if they are not controlled. Shepherds want the right to hunt them.
