Stolen radioactive load is recovered

Mexican police have found a load of dangerous radioactive material that was in a stolen pick-up truck.

The iridium 192 was found abandoned a few miles from where the truck was stolen in the Mexico City suburb of Tlalnepantla,

The truck, which belongs to a metalworking firm, was stolen on Thursday.

In December, thieves in Mexico took a truck containing radioactive medical Cobalt-60 which the UN nuclear agency said could provide an ingredient for a "dirty bomb". It was found dumped.
