A tiger snatched a woman and disappeared with her into mangrove forest in the Indian state of West Bengal.

The woman, her husband and a boatman were trying to catch crabs in a shallow river near the Pirkhali Forest when the tiger leapt on her and dragged her off. Forest guards could find no trace of the woman. The attack happened in the Sunderbans, India's vast mangrove coastal forest.

It is the sixth tiger attack this year in the Sunderbans, where shrinking habitat means tigers are venturing farther in search of food.
