TORONTO mayor Rob Ford is undergoing rehab treatment at a residential clinic.

GreenStone Muskoka, in Ontario, said Ford had agreed to his stay being confirmed.

Ford announced last month he was seeking treatment for an alcohol problem after being videoed appearing to smoke crack.

It is the latest twist in the saga of Ford, 44, whose notorious behaviour led Toronto city council to strip him of most of his powers last year after he was shown on video threatening to "murder" someone. He also admitted smoking crack.
