UN 'stained' by Syria

DAVID Cameron has told the UN it is stained with blood due to its failure to stop the atrocities of the Assad regime in Syria.

Mr Cameron laid down the gauntlet to Russia and China, which have blocked Security Council resolutions on Syria.

He told the General Assembly in New York to call for the international community to support moves to bring about a transition of power.

Mr Cameron, who announced £16.7m of aid for those caught up in the attacks, said: "The blood of these young children is a terrible stain on the reputation of this UN."
