US in move to renew trade links

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, addressing the Asia-Pacific Economic Forum meeting in Vladivostok, said the administration was working with Congress to lift the Cold War-era legislation which has blocked normal trade privileges. Congress is under pressure to approve the permanent normal trade relations bill because of Russia's entry into the World Trade Organisation last month.
