Warnings on Batman shootings

A psychiatrist who treated the former graduate student accused of shooting 12 people at a cinema in Colorado reportedly warned her university about him a month before the massacre.

Dr Lynne Fenton told a threat-assessment team at the University of Colorado, Denver, in early June she was alarmed by the behaviour of James Holmes, but no action was taken, the Denver Post reported.

Holmes, 24, was charged on Monday with 24 counts of first-degree murder and 116 counts of attempted murder in the shooting at a midnight screening of the latest Batman film in Denver.
