Biography

Rose Anderson is set to make history as the first Scots basketball player to take part in the Olympics.
The former Portobello High School pupil began her career with Scottish League club, Edinburgh Kool Kats, securing honours at junior level before winning the Scottish League and Cup as a senior in 2006.
She moved to Oklahome, USA, to study after gaining a basketball scholarship, but was unable to play during her final year as she had used up her eligibility under the strict US college rules.
Last year she played in the English women’s first division last season for Cardiff-based club UWIC Archers, helping them to win the league title for the first time.
