I CANNOT agree with Peter Jensen when he says that it is not dangerous to park on the pavement (Letters, December 14).

When cars are parked on the pavement it is very difficult to see if any cars are coming down the road.

I feel very vulnerable backing out of my garden, as I am nearly at the other side of the road by the time I can see if anyone is approaching.

If someone is not paying attention they could easily drive right into the side of the car.

It is not always possible for someone to be available to guide me out, and I find that my heart is racing if I have to go it alone.
