UKIP'S leader in Scotland David Coburn must come clean about his party's Scottish election manifesto. "It ain't in the Ukip manifesto to sit in your bathtub naked, playing electric guitar, dressed as a clown," he has stated ("Greens and Ukip set sights on winning seats across country", The Herald, April 11).

Whilst few of us would think them able to sit in their bathtub both naked and dressed as a clown, there are nevertheless questions that must be answered by Ukip. Is the guitar real or merely air guitar? Is it plugged in? Switched on? Is there water in the bath?

And has Ukip anything to offer other than Brexit, English pub culture and the promise of a better yesterday tomorrow?
