THE suspension of Labour MP Naz Shah for making anti-Semitic remarks (“Call to Dugdale as Labour suspends Shah in row over Israel comments”, The Herald, April 28) is a positive move by Jeremy Corbyn.

Unfortunately this is just the tip of a dangerous iceberg floating in the waters of the far left. Growing anti-Israel sentiment in universities has been fanned by a twisted notion that Israel is an evil colonial outpost and the Palestinian people are powerless victims. This story has to be challenged on campus if we are to stem the growing tide of anti-Semitism in our political and educational institutions.
