IN a Those Were The Days article Ken Smith tells of a hunt for body parts in Moffat in 1935 (“Gruesome find led to murder hint and new forensics technique”, The Herald, February 14). I was reminded that in the late 1930s there was a popular song to the tune of Red Sails In The Sunset. However, a new version was sung to the same tune: “Red sails in the sunset/Red blood on the knife/Oh Doctor Buck Ruxton/You’ve murdered your wife.”

Do any readers remember it?
