SITTING having a latte in Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street I was astonished to witness the speed and madness of cyclists haring through the street. What is that all about?

With young children running out of the department stores and not a few seniors with walking aids, it looks to me that an accident must happen.

This is not a letter from some old grump as I’m an active cyclist myself, but I prefer to share the street with others.
