HOW good it was to see photograph on Page One of The Herald (“Harry and Meghan pleased to meet a real show pony”, February 14). As one who was present on the esplanade at Edinburgh Castle, in freezing conditions, I can testify to the feel-good factor created by Harry and Meghan’s whirlwind visit; and to the overall buzz of the occasion.
They demonstrated their strong social conscious with a subsequent call-in at the Social Bite in Rose Street. We could have no better royal ambassadors than Meghan and Harry; and, of course, William and Kate. The monarchy’s future is secure, without a doubt; we couldn’t ask for more.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
