SO we have moved from Margaret Thatcher’s “no such thing as society”, through Cameron’s “big society” to land in Theresa May’s “shared society” (“PM sets out vision of shared society”, The Herald, January 10). In these days of rising inequality she might better have invoked “high society”; a society where CEOs are paid more in a morning than the common man is paid in a year. Or she could have mentioned the “secret society” of Brexit negotiations.
