Pagans and tourists gather at Stonehenge to mark solstice

Record numbers of people descended on Stonehenge yesterday morning to mark the summer solstice.

Despite overcast skies, around 36,500 people enjoyed a carnival atmosphere at the ancient stone circle on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire.
