On Holocaust Memorial Day (27th January 2010), school pupils from Knox Academy and other schools in the East lothian area will be taking part in The Legacy of Hope at the Brunton Theatre, Musselburgh at 7pm. The event, which is being held on the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, will be an opportunity for Scottish children to reflect on The Holocaust and ongoing human rights atrocities around the world.

Chimpanzees at Edinburgh Zoo's Budongo Trail are to feature in a BBC Natural World documentary tomorrow evening at 8pm. 'The Chimpian Project' has ran over the previous 18 months in collaboration with the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland and the University of Stirling whereby the chimps learn how to use touch-screen technology and are given a camera to shoot their own footage.
