Since this is a matter about which, how would one say, I have a passing interest, I was keen to attend. Unfortunately not so keen that I did not accept until Tuesday past when I was summarily advised that the event was full.
I start with a bit of explanation. I was invited to attend the lecture to be given last Friday by Jim Wallace, the Advocate General, on the legal competence of the Scottish Government calling an Independence referendum.
