Boris claim over Yes vote

LONDON Mayor Boris Johnson waded into the independence debate yesterday – saying it would be a sad day for England if Scotland left the UK.

In a question and answers session with members of the public on the micro-blogging site Twitter, the Tory politician was asked what he thought of Scottish independence.

In response, he said it would be a "vvvv sad day for this country and for Scotland" if Scots backed independence next year. And it is not the first time he has expressed his views on Scotland's constitutional future. Last year, Alex Salmond accused the Conservative London Mayor of boosting the independence vote.
