Cameron criticised for advisers

DAVID Cameron was last night accused of overseeing a "spadocracy" after Downing Street figures showed the Coalition now has more special advisers than under the previous Labour Government.

The list of 81 spin doctors showed the Prime Minister has a team of 19 advisors while his deputy, Nick Clegg, has 14.

A Downing Street spokesman said the rise was mainly due to many of the new team only being recruited part way through the previous financial period.
