SCOTTISH Conservatives leader Ruth Davidson will today call for young people to be offered the choice of an academic or vocational career from as young as 14.

Ms Davidson, who will outline her vision for high school education in Glasgow, will say too many young people choose unsuitable academic courses or vocational courses where jobs are limited.
She wants Scotland to follow entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter, who has called for an alignment between the education system and the jobs market.
