Downing Street defends 'plebgate' probe

Downing Street has defended the UK's top civil servant after MPs found serious failings in his inquiry into "plebgate".

No 10 said Cabinet Secretary Sir Jeremy Heywood's investigation into allegations that chief whip Andrew Mitchell swore at police had been the "right one at the right time", following criticism from a committee of MPs.
